Marc Raboy focussed on Marconi’s many local connections during a lunchtime talk at Montreal’s Atwater Library. One of the highlights – not included in his book! – was the story of McGill University’s unsuccessful efforts to prevent Marconi from erecting a radio transmitter on top of Mount Royal because it feared the signal would interfere with the university’s physics lab.
